Originally conceived by Pete in a Dubai hotel room, with Urdu chorus and intro chant courtesy of Pakistani musician, Waleed Ahmed, and final lyrics by PlanB keyboard player, Adrian Miller, Meri Jaan encapsulates the essence of an east meets west collaboration.
Meri Jaan sees PlanB bringing together the familiar melodic brass driven rhythms and melodies of the band with some traditional Eastern influences emanating from bass player Sneaky Pete’s numerous sojourns to Pakistan.
The video, again filmed , edited & produced by Patrick Stapleton and with Thao Nguyen & Waleed Ahmed in the lead roles, encapsulates a myriad of eastern, western and psychedelic influences to convey its message. Pakistani musician Waleed Ahmad also wrote the Urdu lyrics contained in this SneakyPete/Adrian Miller composition.
