What In The World

Hello Dear Stranger
Never Let A Dance Go By

I love going to country towns, but it is a sobering experience to see how many of these places have such little left to offer both locals and visitors. It seems the majority of these once-thriving communities have been neglected, left behind and marginalised over the course of the last hundred years or so as technology, globalisation and political preferences have all developed. The song was originally written as a solo number for 12-string guitar and vocals but it has benefited from a number of re-recordings and releases, all of which have presented the song in new and interesting ways. The band actually chose to do this song, rather than me offering it to them. I think it worked out well.
